The mandate for this project was to take promotional photos for Baristello, an intimate Italian coffee shop located in the heart of Villeray. Our goal with this photoshoot was to try and capture the essence and liveliness of the café. In terms of editing, we opted for a mix of classic black & white shots, to match the traditional aspect of things, paired with some muted/warm tones.

Baristello's owner Piero is eternally linked pineapples for some reason. There are many all over his shop; statues, pendants, stickers, you name it. From time to time, clients grow his collection by bringing him pineapple-themed gifts. The funny thing is he isn't even particularly fond of them.
