When Samuel Trépanier asked us to take his headshots, we were excited to collaborate with someone so passionate about his craft. He wanted shots that felt natural and really captured his personality, so we focused on keeping the shoot relaxed and easygoing. Using a simple setup and playing with different lighting, we aimed to bring out his energy and versatility.

When Samuelsohn approached us for this shoot, our challenge was to create high-quality visuals that showcased the brand’s craftsmanship, but considerably cheaper than their current provider, so we devised a streamlined plan that relied on simplicity.
We utilized three lights instead of four, along with two light reflector panels instead of six, which helped us create soft, natural lighting that highlighted the texture and sharp lines of their classic menswear. This straightforward setup allowed us to minimize costs while still achieving a polished look.
By focusing on effective lighting, we captured the timeless elegance of Samuelsohn’s pieces in a way that felt effortless and true to the brand’s refined aesthetic. The result was a set of images that truly reflected the quality and sophistication of their garments, at a fraction of the cost.
